Step One: The first tip to snow plowing is to know how much snow is coming and what else is coming like freezing rain, temperature, and the time. It’s important to know what’s coming because it can help you determine what you will need to do and when.
Step Two: If you are doing residential houses like your own you will want to know what is coming and if they want salt so its not icy then you should be prepared to salt before anything comes. If the customer doesn’t want icy because they may crash coming down a steep hill and its not safe to drive down it when super icy. If you are doing commercial work you have to make sure all of those places are salted because those commainee are very picky and many people walk in there parking lots and if somebody slips and falls you could be sued. Its very important to have extra salt so you never run out.
Step Three: When you need to plow for residential places and commercial paces you will want some employees because that many places to do all by yourself when you get a lot of snow id impossible to do all by yourself. Employees are expensive but well worth it because it allows you to get more places to plow to make even more money and to always make sure there in perfect condition.
Step Four: You will want to have reliable trucks and plows do if you can don’t by cheaper trucks because in the long run you will most likely lose money. You will be losing money because it’s a risk buying older trucks and or high mileage trucks because the maintenance is probably not all there on them and they may need parts. Newer trucks have less mileage and won’t need as much parts replaced. This will save you more money in the long run.
